Keeping it at bay…

Mind chatter is the never-ending conversations that hold us in an internal dialog of random thoughts or beliefs that consume the silence and focus we seek. It is that looping voice of the “what the heck” and “are you kidding me” thoughts that keep us stuck in the betterment of self.
The way you help direct this loop is to remember it is your 7-year-old self-doing its best to prepare you for the world's challenges from a child’s vantage point. It is concerned about every pitfall you could imagine real or not and will work overtime to present as many versions of that concern as possible.
Your best defense to this chatter is to calmly present examples of how everything has always worked out on your behalf and always will. You must give that voice of the younger you more blocks of positivity, reassurance and praise to build upon to change that mind chatter narrative. By keeping it at bay with fun tasks, activities and events to focus upon it will be too engaged in moving forward to think about looking back…
